PESHAWAR: Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) leader and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Munir Khan Orakzai has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to details, Munir Khan Orakzai has been admitted to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar. The doctors have informed that his condition is stable and he is shifted to the isolation ward from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
CM KP’s Assistant tests positive
The provincial health minister has informed that the Assistant to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister for local government Kamran Bangash has also tested positive for coronavirus.
He informed, “It is sad to announce that honorable Mr. Kamran Bangash has tested positive for coronavirus. He has requested the public to stay home in order to defeat the virus. We wish him a speedy recovery,” the health department said.
In this regard, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said, “It is sorrowful news that Kamran Bangash has tested positive for the coronavirus. May Allah give him the strength to beat the virus. We are all praying for him.”
He also stressed the need for social distancing and urged the people of Pakistan to stay at home and practice precautionary measures.
So far, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported the highest number of deaths from the virus — 89 — and has 1,708 confirmed cases. The country overall has reported more than 12,000 cases and over 250 deaths.
