RAWALPINDI: The daily wagers of Rawalpindi have stage staged protest against the corruption in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme.
According to details, the protestors have claimed that the amount of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme was being distributed among the relatives of the members of the National and Provincial Assemblies.
The protestors have further claimed that there were an extreme mismanagement and disorder in the Emergency Cash Program and the funds are being distributed among the relatives of the MPAs and MNAs.
According to the protestors, they have registered complaints on the provided number; however, they haven’t received any positive response.
The protestors also claimed that the officials at the Ehsaas office were constantly delaying the procedure for providing cash assistance, adding that the officials were also doing corruption by concealing money.
The day laborers and poor segments of the society have worst affected by coronavirus lockdown. Pakistan is currently under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic which has killed more than 240 people across the country.
