PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director of Public Health Dr. Ikramullah Khan has tested positive for coronavirus today (Monday).
The provincial finance and health minister, Taimur Khan Jhagra took to Twitter and announced the news. He said, “Dr. Ikramullah Khan is in high spirits, feeling good and isolated at his home.”

Taimur Khan Jhagra praised Dr. Ikramullah Khan and also thanked him for his services to the nation. He termed Dr. Ikramullah Khan as an asset everyone was proud of.
The KP minister also lauded the efforts of thousands of other frontline workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic in the province. He also wished a speedy recovery to Dr. Ikramullah Khan.
He also acknowledged that the next few months will be challenging on several fronts. The minister also vowed to fight and beat the coronavirus with resolve, discipline and unity.
Earlier this month, a doctor at District Headquarters Hospital Mardan was tested positive for coronavirus. He also raised his voice against a lack of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers.
Earlier on Sunday, a senior official at Multan’s Nishtar Hospital informed that almost twelve doctors and six nurses have tested positive for coronavirus.
