LAHORE: Punjab government’s authorities have extended the partial lock-down in the province till April 14 in wake of the prevailing coronavirus outbreak situation in the province.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department on Monday, the citizens have been asked to cooperate with the police and law enforcers to limit the spread of the COVID-19.
Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Momin Ali Agha has appreciated the services of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in success fully enforcing section 144 in the province.
The confirmed cases in Punjab stand at 1493 making it the worst-hit province in the country with 15 deaths followed by Sindh, 881 (15 deaths), Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, 405 (16 deaths), Gilgit Baltistan, 210 (3 deaths), Balochistan 192 (1 death), Islamabad 82 and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 15 (1 death).
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan have reached 3,277 after more cases emerged in the country.
According to the National Command and Control Centre, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached 50, while at least 257 patients have fully recovered.
