ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has asserted that changing domicile rules shows Indian leadership’s anti-Muslim agenda.
In a video message today (Friday), FM Qureshi said that India was violating UN resolutions by maneuvering to change the demography of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).
FM Qureshi also assured that he has informed Secretary-General of the United Nations about this illegal Indian move and urged him to take serious notice of it.
He further said that Modi-led Indian government has jailed the entire Kashmiri leadership and hundreds of Kashmiri youths in order to subjugate their voices.
He also said, “New Delhi regime has incarcerated Hurriyat leaders instead of providing them food and medicines in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.”
The foreign minister claimed that the idea behind changing domicile rules was basically the agenda of changing the population ratio of Muslims in IoK.
Referring to the world community, he urged international bodies to raise voices against the Indian atrocities on Kashmiri people. FM Qureshi also warned the global community that it is the same controversial move like the Citizens Amendment Act and if it is not stopped, it will worsen the situation.
