ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia has asked Pakistan’s government not to sign Hajj agreements in wake of the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic across the globe.
In this regard, Saudi Minister Dr. Muhammad Saleh bin Taher Benten pen downed a letter to Pakistan government to stop its Religious Ministry from signing any such agreements until the situation of coronavirus clear.
The letter stated that the agreements for the arrangements of food, shelter and travel for Hajj pilgrims from the country should not be signed.
It further stated that Saudi Arabia authorities were closely monitoring the situation and would aware the government of any progress.
So far, coronavirus has claimed lives of 9 people in Pakistan and has affected more than 1100 people in country. Sindh and Punjab are the most affected province of Pakistan.
On the other hand, in Saudi Arabia, coronavirus has affected almost 900 people in the country and has claimed lives of 2 people.
Globally, coronavirus has claimed lives of more than 22,000 people and has affected 487,452 people so far. Unfortunately, no vaccine has been created till yet.
