ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has urged National Assembly speaker to take notice of Shehbaz Sharif’s absence.
Fawad Chaudhry said in a statement today (Sunday) that he will raise the matter of Shehbaz Sharif’s long time absence from Parliament in next session of NA.
He also urged the Punjab government to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities for Shehbaz’s return to Pakistan.
Fawad Chaudhry also called to initiate a process for appointing new Opposition Leader.
“I have already written letter to NA speaker for carrying out proceedings for disqualification of Shehbaz,” he added.
The federal minister further said, “Role of the opposition leader in legislation is important and his absence is a violation of laws.”
