KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi on Tuesday said an inquiry has been ordered on the gas leakage issue and responsible will be held accountable.
During a surprise visit to Karachi Port Trust and Customs House he said a high-level investigation team has been constituted to explore the causes of the toxic gas leak. Meanwhile, a Navy team and other government officials declared KPT and Customs House clear of the mysterious gas.
On this occasion, the minister said no concrete steps have ever been taken by the provincial government to minimize the loss of precious lives which is really worrisome for the business community and the citizens in the metropolis.
He said that the Sindh government is playing politics on the gas leakage issue.
