ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan called the leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, assuring the disgruntled coalition partner that their rightful demands would be fulfilled.
Khalid Maqbool had resigned from the federal cabinet on Sunday, claiming the inability of the federal government to comply with the Karachi agreements between the allies, but made it clear that MQM-P would stay in the treasury benches and will support with the governmen if necessary.

When PM Imran Khan approached the leader of the MQM-P and called him to Islamabad, Siddiqui placed forth his concerns in front of the prime minister during the discussion,
PM Imran Khan spoke on the issue earlier in the day during the Political Strategy Committee session, where he said that the MQM-P’s demands related to the release of funds, development work, and the creation of educational institutions will soon be fulfilled.
Earlier, a delegation led by Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reforms Asad Umar held a meeting with MQM-P leaders at the party’s temporary headquarters in Bahadurabad to address their reservations.

The meeting came a day after MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announced his resignation as Federal Minister for Information Technology.
