LAHORE: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that February 23rd is the day to tell our daughters, sisters, and mothers in Kashmir that the women of Pakistan stand with them.
Talking to journalists in Lahore, Firdous Awan said, “Today we salute the Kashmiri women who sacrificed their husbands for the struggle of freedom.”
She further said, “Feb 23 is the day to condemn the brutalities of Indian troops and government and how the women of Kashmir were dishonoured.”
The Special Assistant said, “Today, we need to tell the international community that Kashmiri women are protesting for their rights in Shaheen Bagh for 60 years.”
She also assured that the day is near when the atrocities of Indian army will be broken and the Kashmiris will see the sun of freedom.
Commenting on Nawaz Sharif’s health, the Special Assistant said that the government knows about this mysterious illness that the doctors in London are unable to prescribe something for.
Referring to Shehbaz Sharif, she said that he should return to Pakistan amid the “drought in the leadership of PMLN and the season of silence in the party”.
