ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Human Rights’ (MoHR) helpline had received over 40,000 complaints regarding human rights during January 2020.
In a statement, Secretary of Human Rights Ministry, Rabiya Javeria Agha today (Sunday) informed about the cases and gave explanation in this regard.
Rabiya Javeria said that the ministry was addressing inheritance and child abuse complaints on priority.
The Secretary said, “We should strengthen our coordination and support mechanisms so that we can put an end on exploitation and violence against women and girls,” adding that the helpline is affective source to meet these challenges.”
She said that the ministry was committed to providing women and girls a violence-free environment and providing free legal aid to them through helpline.
She said that until the goal was achieved, we should support women and girl survivors and should provide them protection and services.
