MURREE: Three suspects were arrested on a girl’s complaint filed against them over their alleged involvement in attempting to rape her near Fagwari check post Punjab.
Police officials said that an FIR was registered at the Murree police station against the accused Raja Wasib and his two accomplices, Umair Pervaiz Sasti and Qasim Zardaar.
According to the complainant, the accused Raja Wasib took the girl at a house near Fagwari check post on the pretext of marriage promise and attempted to rape her with his accomplices.
Meanwhile, some neighbours gathered at the scene after hearing the girls’ screams and broke the door of the house and rescued the girl, the FIR stated.
According to sources, soon after the incident the police apprehended the suspects and launched an investigation into the case.
Police said investigations are underway with all three accused. They said abuse of women and children is unbearable, adding that the accused will be presented in the court with solid evidence.
