KARACHI: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan has jumped to 254 after nine more people tested positive in Sindh on Wednesday.
Addressing press conference Sindh Government Spokesperson, Senator Murtaza Wahab has confirmed nine more cases of the novel coronavirus in the province.
With the latest increase, the number of total coronavirus cases in Sindh has jumped to 181. It may be noted that the number of coronavirus cases increased up to 254 in Pakistan. Sindh: 181, Punjab: 34, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 16, Balochistan: 16, Islamabad Capital Territory: four, Gilgit-Baltistan: three.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday that over 11,500 people have infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) globally bringing the total number of confirmed cases above 179,000.
According to the WHO daily report on COVID-19), 179,112 cases have been reported globally, with 11,526 new ones over the past 24 hours, adding that the global death toll has jumped by 475 to 7,426.
The report further indicated that eight new countries, or regions including, Region of the Americas-3, African Region-3, Eastern Mediterranean Region-1, and Western Pacific Region-one have reported cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours.
BEIJING: China reported just one new domestic case in the coronavirus outbreak on Wednesday. For the second consecutive day, there was only one more fresh infection in Wuhan. as many as 80,894 cases and 3,237 deaths have been reported in China since the coronavirus outbreak.
