ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the biggest reason for Karachi’s problems is the non-distribution of administrative powers.
Presiding over a meeting on Karachi Transformation Plan, the prime minister said that the people of the city were facing various problems. “Karachi has problems with clean water supply, sewerage, drainage, and transport,” he said.
The prime minister said that unfortunately in the past solutions to problems on a permanent basis were ignored. The federal government is fully aware of the problems, he maintained.
According to yo the premier, an effective system should be set up for the success of the Karachi Transformation Project. Furthermore, the visit of the prime minister to Karachi tomorrow has been postponed.
He was scheduled to make important announcements in Karachi regarding drainage, elimination of encroachments, solution of drainage problems, and supply of clean water.
PM Imran Khan earlier said that the federation will play its role in solving the problems of Karachi. He said that he was fully aware of the problems facing the people of Karachi and could not turn a blind eye to their plight.
The Karachi Transformation Plan has also been formulated to solve the problems permanently and the Prime Minister has also approved the finalization of this plan.
