ISLAMABAD: Officials of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) Islamabad is allegedly receiving bribes from the illegal encroachments, it has been revealed.
According to details, illegal encroachments are increasing constantly in Sectors G13 and 14 of Islamabad due to the alleged patronage of the Federal Housing Authority’s officials.
Sources have informed that due to alleged patronage of the housing authority’s officials hotels, fruit and vegetable sellers and other vendors have illegally occupied the parking lots and the sidewalk.
Relevant sources have revealed that the officials of the Housing Authority have privately rented out space to hotels and various vendors and allegedly receiving bribe in this regard. Sources further revealed that the officials also threatened to demolish the encroachments if someone refuses to give bribes.
The officials of the Federal Housing Authority have also issued illegal permission to one of a private hotel in Punjab market by allegedly receiving a huge amount of bribe. The location of the hotel is against the by-laws of the federal capital.
In this regard, the Assistant Director of Security and Enforcement has said that the department is well-known about the whole situation. He claimed that the enforcement plan against the illegal structures is in works.
