ISLAMABAD: Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail Friday called on President Dr Arif Alvi here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to the current political situation, the overall situation of Sindh and the development of Karachi came under discussion.
On this occasion, President Alvi stressed the need for participation of all political stakeholders to address people’s problems especially the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Arif Alvi appreciated the efforts of the Sindh governor for the resolution of people’s problems in the province.
He said that the incumbent government was taking steps to facilitate the masses, adding that projects launched for the welfare of people are the manifestation of this fact. He also asserted that the development of Karachi is directly related to the development of Pakistan.
President assured that the federal government was making all-out efforts to play its role regarding the development needs of Karachi, adding that the solutions to problems of Karachi will be addressed.
In this regard, President directed Imran Ismail to prepare a comprehensive plan for other development projects in Karachi. Governor Imran Ismail on the occasion said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan is giving attention towards the development and prosperity of the people in Sindh.”
According to sources, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss various issues, including the COVID-19 epidemic with the political stakeholders of Sindh.
