RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the incumbent government will complete its constitutional tenure.
While addressing a conference, the railway minister rejected speculations regarding the government’s departure. “Neither are we ‘last choice’ nor ‘minus one’. Those speculating should know there is going to be ‘minus three’ if at all,” he declared.
Sheikh Rasheed further said that there are serious allegations on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). “They (opposition) cannot do anything and it has been proved over time,” he said.

The federal minister further said that it has been decided to approach the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against those involved in corruption in railways. I am going to request the bureau to open all cases,” he added.
Last month, the federal minister tested positive for coronavirus after which he isolated himself. The railway minister said that there were no symptoms of coronavirus but after the test came out positive, he isolated himself at home, however, he was later rushed to a military hospital of Lahore in critical condition.
He had appealed the nation to follow and adopt the precautionary measures to remain safe from coronavirus.
