MEDINA: Prime Minister Imran Khan has left for New York on Saturday to attend the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the prime minister will also address important the issue of Indian occupied Kashmir at the 74th UNGA session being held in New York.
The prime minister during his one week visit, will hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various countries and participate in high-level UN summits on climate change, sustainable development and financing for development.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor on Finance Dr. Hafeez Shaikh and Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukhari have accompanied the prime minister.
The prime minister will deliver his address to the UN General Assembly on Friday, 27th September, and share Pakistan’s perspective and position on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and its current human rights and related dimensions.
The prime minister will also avail the opportunity to articulate Pakistan’s perspective on some key contemporary issues. Overall, the centrality of occupied Kashmir dispute would be emphasized through multiple engagements.
