KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh claimed to have arrested two gutka suppliers during a raid in Golimar area of the city on Sunday.
According to a spokesman for rangers, on a tip-off, a rangers’ party conducted a targeted raid in a factory situated in Golimar area.
The rangers official further said during the raid rangers arrested two accused identified as Amjad Hussain Machati and Sajjed. The arrested accused were affiliated whit a Lyari gang war group, said the spokesman.
The accused were involved in making and selling large-scale unhealthy gutka. During the initial investigation, the accused revealed that they were also paying millions of rupees monthly to Sajid alias Golimar and Agha Zikri, key leaders of the Lyari gang war, to protect their illegal business.
The rangers’ spokesman said the Gutka supply network of the accused is spread all over Karachi. over 10,00 kilograms of unhealthy blisters, packing material, unhealthy items, tools used in making gutka and weapons were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
