ISLAMABAD: The federal government has distributed Rs 16.58 billion among 1.3 million families around the country during the past three days.
In this regard, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar took to Twitter and shared the latest figure about the programme.
Giving a province-wise breakup of cash grants provided, Dr. Sania Nishtar said, “1.38 million families have received Ehsaas Emergency Cash in the last 3 days. 16.58 billion has been disbursed.”

In another tweet, Dr. Sania Nishtar said that the disbursement sites were being fumigated to protect the people from Coronavirus pandemic.

She further said that large public buildings were being arranged for cash disbursement to facilitate the deserving people.
The distribution of cash assistance under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash programme was started on April 9, son the special instruction of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The initiative was taken in order to financially aid more than 12 million deserving families whose incomes have been adversely affected by the coronavirus lockdown.
