ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has felicitated the members of the Christian community of the country on their religious occasion of Easter.
PM Imran took to Twitter and wished Pakistan’s Christian community a happy Easter and urged them to take precautionary measures to ensure their safety during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Prime Minister said, “Wishing all our Christian citizens, a happy Easter. Please stay safe and keep your families safe during the COVID19 pandemic by praying and celebrating at home, and by observing the national safety protocols.”

Many churches like other religious places have been closed in order to contain the outbreak of coronavirus. So far, coronavirus has claimed lives of almost 86 people across Pakistan and has affected more than 5,000 people.
Easter is one of the religious festivals celebrated by Christians every year around the globe. The day usually celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon marks the culmination of the 40 day period of fasting called Lent.
