YouTube has unveiled a new AI-powered auto-dubbing feature that allows viewers to watch videos in 27 different languages, retaining the original creator’s tone and emotion.
The update aims to break down language barriers, making global content more accessible while enhancing the viewing experience for audiences worldwide.
As per details, YouTube has extensively upgraded its AI-based auto-dubbing technology. The latest update now supports 27 different languages, enabling users from diverse regions to access global content more easily.
With the new system, users can select their preferred language in YouTube’s settings. If a dubbed version of a video is available, the platform will automatically play it in the selected language.
A key element of the upgrade is a new AI technology called “Expressive Speech,” designed to retain the original creator’s tone, emotion, and delivery style. YouTube aims to eliminate the robotic and flat voices common in traditional dubbing, which often affect content quality.
Currently, “Expressive Speech” is available for translated videos in English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, with plans to expand to more languages soon.
