The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has uncovered a human trafficking network at the airport involved in smuggling young women for prostitution under the pretext of employment in Dubai.
According to a private television channel, the network was exposed following information provided by a woman identified as Saira, who was traveling on a Dubai visit visa after being promised a hotel job.
Acting on the tip-off, the FIA conducted an immediate operation and arrested one suspect.
Investigations revealed that a man named Shahzaib arranged Saira’s visit visa, airline ticket, and show money using funds obtained from Nadeem, a known human smuggler.
Out of a total amount of Rs420,000, Rs40,000 was paid to an agent named Aslam for airport clearance.
The FIA also recovered evidence from the WhatsApp accounts of Saira and Shahzaib, indicating contact with other members of a group involved in prostitution-related activities.
Saira has been shifted to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further proceedings, while Shahzaib has been taken into custody for further investigation.
