Another senior and veteran leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has parted ways with the party.
Senior party leader Qazi Anwar Advocate announced his resignation, stating that the principles and manifesto on which PTI was founded are no longer being followed.
He said that the party’s current leadership had humiliated him, causing him severe mental distress.
“I have suffered immense psychological pressure within the party,” Qazi Anwar said, adding that his self-respect had been compromised.
It is worth noting that a few days earlier, the Tehsil Samahni President in Azad Kashmir had also announced his departure from PTI following statements made by party leaders against state institutions.
He stated that state institutions are the guardians of national borders and that he could not remain part of a party that speaks against them.
