The Sindh Education Department has carried out a large-scale reshuffling of teachers across the province, transferring more than 10,000 teachers to various schools.
According to the department, the transfers will help reactivate 1,320 closed schools and address a shortage of 1,550 teachers in several institutions.
In schools across Sindh, including Karachi, where only one teacher was posted, 1,328 additional teachers have now been assigned to improve the quality of education.
The department further stated that under the wedlock policy, a total of 1,671 teachers were transferred, including 1,198 female teachers, with the aim of facilitating women educators by placing them closer to their families.

Moreover, 473 male teachers were also transferred under the same policy. The education department emphasized that these measures are part of a broader initiative to revitalize educational institutions in the province and enhance academic standards.
