ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) lawmaker Shahida Akhtar Ali on Tuesday introduced the Civil Servants Amendment Bill in the National Assembly Secretariat, seeking significant reforms in the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination rules.
According to the bill, the proposed amendments aim to increase the upper age limit for CSS candidates to 35 years, while also expanding the maximum number of attempts to five.
The move comes after the National Assembly had earlier passed a resolution in favor of these changes, though the government has not yet taken steps toward implementation.
If approved, the legislation could provide relief to thousands of aspirants who have long demanded revisions to age and attempt restrictions in the competitive exam system.
