PESHAWAR: An additional station head officer (SHO) Adnan Afridi was martyred as a blast hit Khyber, a tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per details, the blast was reported within the limits of Ali Masjid.
Heavy contingent of police reached the spot following the blast, while as per initial reports the blast is said to be suicide.
Earlier, four people, including three policemen, were martyred and 10 were injured after two suicide bombers stormed a tehsil compound in Khyber district on Thursday.
The attack took place in the Bara neighborhood of tribal district, which borders Afghanistan. Police said one of the suicide bombers blew himself up at the gate of the compound, which house a police station and other government offices, while the suicide vest of the other assailant went off after the police shot him.
The attack came hours after militants of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan attacked a checkpost in Peshawar, leaving two police officers dead and wounded two others.
