In a surprising turn of events, Anju, an Indian woman, made a significant journey to Upper Dir in Pakistan, where she converted to Islam and married her Pakistani partner Nasrullah. Following her conversion, Anju adopted the Islamic name of Fatima.
Appearing at the Upper Dir district courts, Anju was veiled in a black burka. However, Nasrullah attempted to deny reports about their marriage, telling Indian media that their court visit was related to a security clearance matter and not for marriage purposes.
Contrary to Nasrullah’s claims, copies of the nikah document and an affidavit submitted by Anju, along with statements from senior police officials, confirmed that she had indeed converted to Islam and married Nasrullah.
A video titled ‘Anju weds Nasrullah’ surfaced on Monday, apparently released by the couple themselves. The video captured their moments together, visiting picturesque mountainous spots in the region, holding hands, and sitting closely.
