KARACHI: A man who was bitten by a dog earlier, lost his life in Jinnah Hospital due to the unavailability of anti-rabies vaccine.
A 45-year-old Muhammad Saleem died of the deadly disease rabies at the ICU due unavailability of anti-rabies vaccine for on-time treatment.

The deceased Saleem was the father of six children. He was bitten by a rabid dog while attempting to save one of his daughters six weeks ago.
Saleem was previously shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where his relative handed over the anti-rabies vaccine to doctors that they bought on their own expenses.
According to the deceased’s family members, Saleem was given a half dose of the drugs by physicians at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Family members of Saleem told that his health condition got worsened again which led by the family members to bring him to the Jinnah hospital where he fought for his life for two days which failed last night.
The citizens of Karachi are urging authorities to initiate the drive and fix the issue of the stray dogs as it creates fear amongst the children and elders alike. Also, people are demanding a continuous supply of anti-rabies vaccination in the hospitals of Karachi to save precious lives.
