LAHORE: The Punjab Police has finalized comprehensive traffic arrangements for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 final at the Gaddafi Stadium, ensuring smooth movement for cricket fans while maintaining city-wide connectivity.
A robust security and traffic management force comprising 8 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 90 traffic inspectors, and over 500 wardens has been deployed for the event. To curb illegal parking, 11 fork-lifters have been stationed at key points, while five designated parking zones have been established to accommodate the expected surge of vehicles.
Designated Parking Zones
Cricket fans have been directed to specific parking areas based on their route of entry:
– CBD Parking Lot: Available at the Government College for Boys.
– Sun Fort Hotel & Liberty Parking: Designated for fans arriving from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu via Main Boulevard Gulberg.
– Government College Gulberg: Fans traveling from Ferozepur Road should turn at Kalma Chowk and proceed to National Park.
– Liberty Parking Lot: Accessible to those coming from Defense and Cantt via Main Boulevard Gulberg, Hussain Chowk, or Sherpao Bridge.
Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, a senior police official, assured the public that no roads will be closed permanently during the match. He urged fans to strictly adhere to police instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
