KARACHI: The first phase of the annual intermediate examinations has commenced in Karachi under the supervision of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi.
According to officials, the examinations began with strict arrangements in place to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice. Examination centres across the city have been set up, where candidates from various groups, including pre-medical, pre-engineering, commerce and humanities, are appearing in the first phase.
Authorities said that monitoring teams have been deployed to oversee the examination process, while special measures have been taken to curb cheating. Law enforcement personnel are also present outside centres to maintain order.
The board warned that strict action would be taken against those found involved in unfair means, emphasising its commitment to conducting examinations in a fair and transparent manner.
Officials further said that the second phase of the intermediate examinations will be held after the completion of the ongoing phase, as per the scheduled timetable.
