The men accused Ashrafi of being a “puppet” of the current Pakistani government and military, criticizing his vocal support for the country’s leadership, including Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Tahir Ashrafi defended his stance, arguing that government and army policies had “improved Pakistan’s global image.”
Speaking to media afterwards, Ashrafi said he had been “attacked and harassed” but vowed he would not be cowed by what he described as “thuggish behaviour.” He insisted that intimidation would not deter him from backing the country’s institutions.
Videos of the confrontation, now circulating widely on TikTok, Instagram, and Threads, show only verbal arguments. The footage depicts Ashrafi standing his ground and responding to the accusations, with no evidence of physical assault.
