ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially announced a significant reduction in the price of kerosene oil, effective April 25, 2026.
In a notification issued on Friday, the regulatory body declared that the maximum ex-depot sale price of kerosene oil has been set at Rs 365.21 per litre, marking a decrease of Rs 63.60 per litre from the previous rate.

The notification, signed by Azhar Fareed Khan, Executive Director (Finance-III), outlines the revised pricing structure for petroleum products refined in Pakistan and imported. The new rate includes all applicable levies, margins, and taxes, with the prescribed price now standing at Rs 357.04 per litre before the addition of general sales tax.
The revised pricing will apply to 23 locations/depots of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and covers primary freight only. Special provisions remain in place for secondary freight in designated areas including Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Northern Areas.
Apparently, this price adjustment comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to stabilize fuel costs and provide relief to consumers amid fluctuating global energy markets.
