KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Saturday after a recent downward trend, with significant gains recorded in both local and international markets, according to data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
The association said the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 2,300, taking it to Rs. 493,162. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,971 to reach Rs. 422,806.
The upward movement follows a brief period of decline in domestic bullion rates, reflecting renewed strength in global gold prices and currency fluctuations.
Meanwhile, silver prices also registered an increase in the local market. The price of 24-karat silver per tola went up by Rs. 92, settling at Rs. 8,049.
On the international front, gold prices climbed as well, with the rate per ounce increasing by $23 to $4,708, lending further support to the rise in domestic prices.
Analysts attribute the rebound to ongoing volatility in global markets and shifting investor sentiment, which continue to influence bullion rates in Pakistan.
