Young woman shoots 22-year-old man after he refuses marriage proposal

A 22-year-old man was critically injured after being shot in the forehead by a young woman in Pattoki, reportedly after he refused to marry her, rescue officials said.

According to emergency responders, the man, identified as Farooq, was initially taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Pattoki.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later shifted to a hospital in Lahore for advanced treatment, where his condition remains critical.

Rescue sources said that the suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Initial reports suggest that the woman is a close relative of the victim.

Farooq’s mother told authorities that the suspect had been pressuring her son to marry her, and the incident occurred after he refused.

Police have registered the case and launched an investigation, while efforts are underway to locate and arrest the suspect.
