The Karachi Northern Bypass Cattle Market continues to gain momentum as it enters its 20th day, with thousands of animals arriving and attracting a steady flow of visitors.
The market has not only seen a surge in livestock numbers but also growing public interest, as unique and high-value animals become the center of attention ahead of the sacrificial season.
Over 13,000 animals so far have arrived in the market, according to market officials.
Among the many animals, a rare Russian-breed bull named “Chambeli” has become the center of attention, attracting large crowds of visitors. The bull, described as a “Neel Gainey” breed, is owned by trader Muhammad Amjad, who brought it from Muridke. Amjad has made a bold claim, offering Rs500,000 to anyone who can present a similar calf.
Speaking about the animal, the trader highlighted its distinctive features, including large horns, a smaller build, and an energetic temperament.
He added that the bull is fed a rich diet consisting of milk, yogurt, butter, wheat flour, and other grains, contributing to its premium quality.
Amjad further said that the bull is ready for sacrifice, noting that it has four teeth, a common indicator of maturity for sacrificial animals.
Meanwhile, Administrator Tariq Tanoli said visitors are largely satisfied with the arrangements. Citizens visiting the market also appreciated the facilities, calling them well-organized and convenient for buyers and traders alike.
