Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Friday, mirroring the downtrend in the international market.
In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,900 to settle at Rs490,862.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold declined by Rs2,486, bringing it down to Rs420,835, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, the price of gold per tola fell Rs5,200 to Rs493,762.
On Wednesday, gold prices had also recorded a decline, with the per tola rate slipping by Rs1,200 to close at Rs498,962.
In the international market, gold prices fell by $29 per ounce, reaching $4,685, which includes a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved downward, dropping by Rs142 to settle at Rs7,957 per tola.
