US President Donald Trump has claimed Iran cannot ‘blackmail’ Washington b threatening to close Strait of Hormuz again.
He was talking to newsmen at White House after signing an executive order regaring research in health sector.
Trump said talks with Tehran are going well and hoped that deal will be reached.
According to international media reports, Trump stated that if no agreement is reached, US restrictions on Iranian ports will remain in place. “Something is going to happen tomorrow — I think it will be very positive,” he said, adding that a surprise could be expected.
Speaking further, Trump said a “very intelligent and respected figure” would visit the White House, and that an extraordinary press conference would be held. While the event would not be directly about Iran, he noted that questions would likely focus on the issue.
