The Sindh government has announced strict measures to combat cheating in matric and intermediate board examinations, introducing a zero-tolerance policy that targets both students and staff involved in malpractice.
According to a joint statement by Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahu, and Sindh Education Minister, Sardar Shah, any student caught cheating will never be allowed to sit in board examinations again, and involved staff members will be dismissed from their jobs.
The ministers said that strict action will be taken against students and staff involved in cheating, with a zero-tolerance policy now in place for board exams.
If any invigilator, internal or external staff, or administrative officer is found involved in malpractice, departmental action will be taken. Staff found guilty will be dismissed from their positions.
The provincial ministers further said that any student caught with a mobile phone or other cheating material will be immediately removed from the examination process.
All papers of a cheating student will be canceled, and such students will be barred from current and future board examinations. Supervision at examination centers will be intensified, and any interference will result in strict action.
