In her statement, she said the moment occurred spontaneously in a light-hearted manner and was later taken out of context on social media. She emphasised that there was no inappropriate intent behind the act, describing it as a natural and friendly gesture.

The incident took place during her morning show, where she had invited her husband Ejaz Khan as a guest. During the programme, her daughter was also present.
At one point, she asked her husband whether he could lift her on-air as he had done at home, to which he complied by lifting her onto his shoulder during the live broadcast.
