KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out nine operations in multiple cities, seizing more than 141 kilograms of narcotics and arresting 13 suspects, according to an official statement.
An ANF spokesperson said the raids were conducted in Hyderabad, Islamabad, Sangjani, Ghazi Ghat, Peshawar and Quetta. During the raids, authorities recovered 83.6kg of opium and 49kg of hashish.
In addition, 8kg of crystal meth (ice), 30 grams of heroin, and 4,750 Xanax tablets weighing 692 grams were also seized.

The spokesperson added that one of the arrested suspects confessed to selling drugs to students at educational institutions. Cases have been registered against the suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997.
