AI-generated images are raising fresh concerns over privacy as content creator Ayesha Tahir alleges that her likeness was used without consent.
In a recent Instagram post, she claimed that the clothing brand “Engine Pakistan” employed AI-created images of her for promotional material for its new collection.

Tahir said, “I need to address something that doesn’t sit right with me. A brand I’ve worked with before, @Enginepakistan, is currently using my face in visuals for their new collection. These images are AI-generated, and I have not done any shoot for this collection or given consent for my likeness to be used in this way. I tried reaching out to them privately first, but didn’t receive a response. That’s why I’m speaking about it here.”
She said that using a person’s face without permission, even digitally, is unacceptable. “Consent should always come first, whether the content is real or digitally created,” she added, urging brands and creators to take the matter seriously and address it responsibly.
