For the second time in over a week, Iran has targeted US military assets stationed at Prince Sultan Airbase in Saudi Arabia, a spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said on Monday.
The spokesperson said that Prince Sultan Airbase is a key hub for U.S. military operations.
He added that American reconnaissance aircraft at the base were targeted with ballistic missiles.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters spokesperson also said that the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain was targeted with missiles and drones.
On Friday, March 13, five US Air Force refueling planes were struck and damaged on the ground at Prince Sultan air base in Saudi Arabia, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned that if the U.S. or Israel targets Iran’s electricity infrastructure, they will retaliate in kind.
In a statement, the Revolutionary Guards said any threat would be met at the same level. If Iranian power plants are attacked, they would target power plants supplying electricity to Israeli and U.S. military bases.
Meanwhile, an attack on Iranian TV and radio facilities reportedly left one person dead and another injured.
According to Arab media outlet Al Jazeera, U.S. and Israeli airstrikes hit various areas of Tehran, causing loud explosions in multiple parts of the city. Authorities said Iran’s defense system is active and the situation is being monitored.
Reports indicate areas targeted include Perozi Street, Garmdareh, Shahid Babai Highway, and Khiyaban-e-Hafez, though no immediate details of casualties or damage have been released.
