Several people were injured and a house was severely damaged after an explosion caused by a gas leak near Teen Hatti in Karachi on Sunday.
According to details, a powerful explosion occurred on the third floor of a house near Teen Hatti after gas accumulated inside. The blast caused a wall of the house to collapse, and several people were injured due to falling debris.
Rescue teams reached the scene immediately after receiving the report and began extracting the injured, shifting them to nearby hospitals.
According to rescue sources, relief operations are ongoing at the site, and debris removal is also underway.
Authorities said that the initial cause of the explosion appears to be a gas leak. However, further investigations are in progress to determine the exact facts.
Last month, a gas explosion torn through an apartment building in Karachi, killing at least 16 people, including women and children, and injuring several others after part of the structure collapsed.
The explosion occurred in a residential neighbourhood of Karachi, the capital of southern Sindh province, as residents were preparing a pre-dawn meal on the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, local police chief Rizwan Patel said.
