A joyful Eid visit turned into a nightmare in Qasmi, within the jurisdiction of Harki Police Station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Cutting area, when unknown assailants opened fire, killing three women from the same family.
The tragic incident also left two young children critically injured, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a festive occasion.
According to details, three women from the same household were killed by unknown assailants.
In the same firing incident, two young children were also seriously injured. The deceased women included the wife of Mehboob Ali and their two daughters.
Both daughters were married and had come to their parents’ home to celebrate Eid. The injured children include one boy and one girl.
The injured children are the grandson and granddaughter of the deceased woman. They were immediately transferred to the hospital.
Meanwhile in Lahore, Islam Pura police responded promptly to a 15-call report and arrested the husband who had shot his wife, along with the weapon.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said that the suspect was arrested following the notice.
According to the police, the suspect Sajjad fired at his wife due to a domestic dispute. The bullet hit the woman’s face, and she was transferred to the hospital for medical treatment.
