LAHORE: In a shocking event that has sent ripples through the community, a man reportedly took the lives of his wife and son in a tragic domestic violence incident before attempting to end his own life in Lahore on Thursday.
Media reports suggest local authorities received urgent reports of gunfire in the Defense A area. Upon their arrival, police discovered Sarfaraz had fatally shot his wife, Shahnaz, and his son, Abdullah, while his daughter, Fatima, sustained serious injuries during the violent altercation.
Rescue workers acted immediately to transport Shahnaz and Fatima to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care and undergoing treatment.
SP Cantt and ASP Defense were quick to respond to the scene, coordinating with a heavy police contingent to manage the situation. On media queries, SP Cantt confirmed that the injured victims are receiving critical care, and updates on their health will be forthcoming.
Following the incident, the body of Abdullah was secured and transported to the morgue for a comprehensive post-mortem examination. SP Cantt reaffirmed the department’s commitment to a thorough investigation, stating that all aspects of the case will be meticulously reviewed.
SP Cantt Akhtar Nawaz said, “we are taking further action in accordance with legal protocols and will ensure that all relevant details are addressed as the inquiry unfolds.”
