Karachi Police has finalised a comprehensive security plan for the central procession on Youm‑e‑Ali, observed on the 21st of Ramadan.
The plan has been designed to maintain law and order in Karachi and to address any potential security situation.
According to the Additional Inspector General Karachi, 5,213 police officers and personnel will be deployed along the main procession routes and at key locations across the city.
The deployment includes 19 SSPs and SPs, 53 DSPs, and approximately 4,244 other police personnel.
The security arrangements include the following measures:
Strict snap checking and increased patrols across the city.
Continuous monitoring through CCTV cameras.
Deployment of snipers on tall buildings and at sensitive locations.
Quick Response Teams placed on high alert to respond to any emergency.
Special police contingents will also be stationed at major hospitals to ensure immediate assistance in case of any incident.
The Karachi Police chief has instructed all officers to ensure that the law and order situation remains stable during the procession and that the safety of citizens is treated as the highest priority.
These arrangements are intended to maintain peace in sensitive areas of the city and ensure the religious observance takes place peacefully.
Citizens have also been urged to cooperate with authorities and follow police instructions so that the occasion can pass safely and without disruption.
