In a fit of rage of a woman threw acid on her boyfriend after he married another woman in Lahore.
According to police, the suspect has already been taken into the custody. Using modern technology, Kahna police traced the suspect from Ghulam Hussain Colony, Kahna, and took her into custody.
SP Model Town, Shehrbano Naqvi, had formed a special team for the suspect’s arrest.
Police said that the victim and the suspect had a long-standing friendship. The victim, Sufyan, had recently married another woman, which reportedly upset the suspect. Robina Bibi lured 30-year-old Sufyan to her house under a pretext and threw acid on him, burning parts of his clothes and body.
A case has been registered against Robina Bibi, and investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, a suspect who shot and killed his wife in Shahdara was arrested from Sialkot. The accused had critically injured his wife, Atiya Bibi, during a domestic dispute and fled the scene. Atiya Bibi later died in the hospital after several days of treatment.
Police said the deceased had been living with her parents following domestic disputes. The suspect had gone into hiding in Sialkot but was apprehended there with the help of human intelligence and other leads.
