Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Saturday, following an upward trend in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs10,000 to reach Rs550,562. Likewise, the rate for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs8,574, bringing it to Rs472,018, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Friday, the price of gold per tola had remained steady at Rs540,562.
Globally, gold prices surged by $100 per ounce to $5,278, which includes a $20 premium.
Silver prices also recorded an increase in the domestic market, rising by Rs388 to settle at Rs9,862 per tola.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
