A tragic incident has been reported from the Mari Balochan area of Jhang, where a young brother and sister are alleged to have killed their father.
According to police, the 15-year-old boy and his 13-year-old sister allegedly murdered their father and buried his body in the courtyard of their home.
After receiving information about the incident, police carried out a raid and took both suspects into custody. On their identification, the alleged murder weapon — an axe — was recovered from the roof of the house.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased had separated from his wife and was living with his children.
The teenage girl, who is in custody, has claimed that her father had allegedly subjected her to sexual harassment and physical abuse. She stated that after informing her brother about the alleged abuse, the tragic incident occurred.
Police officials said investigations are ongoing from all angles and forensic evidence is being collected. They added that the final facts will only become clear once the inquiry is completed.
